Please use this online form to submit any hours you work at the CFFC.
All membership fees are "One Time for a Lifetime" The CFFC is now a member-only co-op. While we recognize that there are benefits to being open to the public, we have come to believe that a food cooperative owned and operated by and for its owner members is the most exciting way to move forward.
Member Orientation will be held the second Monday of each month. A Membership Coordinator will be available between 3-6pm for approximately half hour sessions. To schedule a particular time on Monday or other possibilities, please contact MiBy at (917) 859-6386.
When you become a member owner of the CFFC, you will be part of growing a local enterprise that is committed to long term sustainability and that will re-invest all profits back into the Co-op and into our community. You will also be joining a worldwide cooperative movement. By taking control of the way we purchase and distribute food in our region, we can choose to put our community and the environment first, by being selective about what we purchase and by reinvesting any profits back into the Co-op and the community. By doing so, we can support local farmers and producers, the health of our community and the environment.
Lifetime membership fees per member of household 18 years and older:
Member-owner rates are based on the number of individuals age 18 and older in a household. All individuals in a household benefit from the savings offered by the CFFC. In order to have an equitable cooperative, all adult individuals in a household must be members.
These fees are ONETIME and LIFETIME. The Investment fee is fully returnable if you decide to withdraw from the CFFC.
As little as $10 with your membership application can start you on your way to becoming a part of CFFC. Incremental payments are to be made within 12 months until it is fully paid. We also have a CFFC Equity Fund dedicated to helping new members with the cost of joining. Just ask when you apply.
Just work 3½ hours per month, that's it! You'll have the opportunity to work side-by-side or in collaboration with great people and reap the financial benefits of a reduced markup on products. And there are SO MANY ways to work. You can take part in packing days or sale days; you can contribute time doing work online or with a hammer and nail; you can make pickups from vendors and suppliers. The work possibilities are as boundless as our abilities and the needs of the Co-op. The more working members we have, the easier the work becomes for all of us -- and the more the CFFC can do!
Check HERE to see a growing list of Working Member Roles and tasks that need to be filled.
We are committed to being inclusive and free of discrimination. We seek out and welcome people from diverse communities to participate in a community-owned cooperative business structure.
